PSA 🗣️ The CDC indicates a significant spike in outbreaks of Norovirus 🦠, compared to previous years. 91 outbreaks have been reported in the week ending December 5, 2025, up from 69 the previous week. This increase is higher than the average for this time of year, and it is largely attributed to a new norovirus strain called GII.17. Norovirus spreads easily through contact with the virus, which is found in the stool or vomit of an infected person. Symptoms of norovirus include vomiting, diarrhea, and stomach cramps, often accompanied by nausea, fatigue, a headache, body aches, and a low-grade fever. Symptoms typically last 1 - 3 days.
