It's the time of year to begin supporting our immune system even more! The weather is all over the place, kids are back to school, mold & late season allergies are kicking up. And of course, many are still battling waves of long COVID or new exposures to a multitude of viruses.

As of May 15th, Acupuncturists were approved as essential workers in NY state and were given clearance to begin working, although with the condition that patients have a doctors note. Our national and NY state professional organizations lobbied on our behalf, and this clause has been dropped, thankfully. Massage Therapy, however, has not been approved yet. Naturally, I have been considering deeply what course of action would prove best for me, you, and the safety and health of our families and community. I am researching the many new protocols I would have to implement, new equipment needed, as well as how much I need to limit the volume of appointments in order to safely re-open.
​At this time, I am planning to re-open my Kingston office only, as this is where I can ensure the best adherence to CDC and NY State protocol for thorough disinfection and maintenance of a safe treatment space.

Dear Friends,

I hope this finds you in good health and hope in your hearts. We are all facing a very unique challenge, and it will be affecting us in a myriad of ways in weeks to come. I am very encouraged by the fearless action many people are taking in an effort to protect and offer support to our community.

In unity with our Ulster County Executive Office, and in an effort to do my part to protect all of you and our community from further spread of COVID-19, I will be closing my office effective immediately until 3/30/20. I took much time over the weekend to educate myself thouroughly, deeply reflect and consider the best action to take for self and others. I strongly believe that the ONLY way I can be sure that I am doing everything I can do to be a part of the solution and get things back to normalcy as soon as possible is to take social distancing seriously.

I will be reaching out individually to those of you who have appointments booked to check in and reschedule in a few weeks. And I would sincerely like to offer my listening ear, immune-boosting knowledge, or spiritual encouragement and guidance to anyone who needs support in those ways. Please know you don’t have to carry your anxieties or personal struggles alone. Stay connected, reach out if you need to, and remember much good will come out of this if we look for it and choose it.
