Let's turn hesitation into confidence 🌟

Did you know 4-H presentations are one of the most effective ways young people build confidence, communication, and leadership skills?

Public speaking can be intimidating, but that's exactly what this is for! Give your child the gift of confidence that will make a lasting impact on their future success.

Participants pick a topic they’re interested in, gather research, and share their knowledge at District Activity Day. Youth can choose anything from animals and cooking to science, agriculture, arts, or outdoors - the possibilities are endless!

We will be hosting presentation practice sessions where 4-H’ers can rehearse their presentations and receive helpful feedback as they prepare for District Activity Day on June 18, 2026!

Open to ages 5-18.
Deadline to register: May 20, 2026

For more information, visit: https://lenoir.ces.ncsu.edu/news/4-h-presentations/

If you're interested in participating, reach out and we can get you started! Contact Abbigail Wells abbarbe2@ncsu.edu or call 252-527-2191.

Lenoir County 4-H has had an incredible time bringing embryology into classrooms across our county!

In 26 classrooms throughout Lenoir County public and private schools, students explored the life cycle in a hands-on way 🐣 learning, observing, and experiencing the excitement of watching chicks hatch right before their eyes.

Programs like this spark curiosity, build understanding, and create unforgettable learning moments. We’re so proud of these students and grateful to the teachers who welcomed us in their classrooms! 🐥🍀

❔Test your knowledge! Answer in the comments!

How do cows and pigs contribute to medical care? What’s the recipe for photosynthesis?  Why are green plants green? How do snakes hear? If you’re stumped, ask the 600 LCPS sixth graders that turned out to learn this week at Lenoir County’s first-ever Ag Day.
