It’s time for “Wednesdays Behind the Counter”

Each Wednesday we will be introducing you to our employees here at Kinston Clinic and Dempsey’s Drugs! 🥼💙 You may see some familiar faces - and some new! We appreciate each of our staff members and we couldn’t do it without them! Be on the lookout each week for the faces that are behind making sure all of your medication is filled, counted, checked, and delivered with ease and satisfaction! 💊

This week we’re introducing another one of our wonderful pharmacy techs, Rylan Wade!

Q: How long have you worked for Dempsey’s Drugs and Kinston Clinic?
A: I have been working here almost six months now!

Q: What is your favorite part about working for Kinston Clinic and Dempsey’s Drugs?
A: My favorite part about working here is the family-like atmosphere! It’s such a welcoming and kind environment that I really enjoy being a part of!

Q: What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
A: In my free time, I am either playing softball, spending time with family and friends, going shopping, or relaxing when I can!

It’s time for “Wednesdays Behind the Counter”

Each Wednesday we will be introducing you to our employees here at Kinston Clinic and Dempsey’s Drugs! 🥼💙 You may see some familiar faces - and some new! We appreciate each of our staff members and we couldn’t do it without them! This week we’re introducing another one of our wonderful pharmacy techs, Kim Morris!

Q: How long have you worked for Dempsey’s Drugs and Kinston Clinic?
A: I have been working at Dempsey’s Drugs and Kinston Clinic Pharmacy for 8 months!

Q: What inspired you to become a pharmacy technician?
A: I worked several years in an Adult Home as a SIC/Med Tech. I really enjoyed working with all of the residents and their medication needs. It was time for a change so I decided to pursue Pharmacy Tech.

Q: What is your favorite part about working for Kinston Clinic and Dempsey’s Drugs?
A: I love how everyone feels and acts like family. It makes the day much more pleasant!

Q: What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
A: In my free time I love spending time with my family (especially my grandbabies), going to the pistol range, and taking cruises!

💙 Celebrating 10 Years of Dempsey’s Drugs in La Grange! 💙

Ten years ago, Dempsey’s Drugs began as a vision - a hope to better serve the people of North Lenoir and bring hometown care to La Grange. What started small has grown into a true community cornerstone, and for that, we are so thankful.

Our pharmacy proudly bears the name of our father, Dempsey Hill, who passed away in 2023. He was deeply proud of this store and the way it carried on his legacy of service, kindness, and dedication to others. His spirit continues to guide everything we do.

To the wonderful people of La Grange and the North Lenoir area - thank you for embracing us, supporting us, and allowing us to be a part of your lives for the past decade. It has been our joy and our blessing to serve you.

They say time flies when you’re having fun, and it certainly has. Here’s to the next 10 years of caring for this amazing community we’re so proud to call home. 💙

It’s time for “Wednesdays Behind the Counter”

This week we’re introducing another one of our wonderful pharmacists, Candi Batchelor!

Q: How long have you worked for Kinston Clinic and Dempsey’s Drugs?
A: I have worked part-time as a relief pharmacist for KCP since February of 2021.

Q: What inspired you to become a pharmacist?
A: In high school, I began working in pharmacy part-time after school. There were several wonderful pharmacists who took the time to teach me about all the amazing aspects of the pharmacy profession. I loved how passionate they were about helping the customers by working closely with them and the other members of their healthcare team. I soon realized that I wanted to be a pharmacist, too.

Q: What is your favorite part about working for Kinston Clinic and Dempsey’s Drugs?
A: My favorite part about working for KCP, is my coworkers and the customers. I love that my coworkers are like family. We support and encourage each other. And we have the best customers!

Q: What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
A: In my free time, I enjoy traveling with family and friends and attending my daughter's sporting events.
