We love creating learning opportunities for the next generation of clinicians.
A big thank you to Dr. Matt LaCourse at Evergreen Health for allowing Sydney Mozer, PT student from OSU Cascades, to shadow a Tenex procedure. Experiences like this are invaluable in helping students connect classroom learning to real-world patient care. We are also incredibly grateful to the physicians, nurses, and scheduling team who helped make this experience possible. It takes a team effort to create meaningful clinical exposure, and we truly appreciate the time, coordination, and support.
Thank you for investing in education and helping shape the future of healthcare.

Mandie’s discusses strength training in her new Trail Running Series. As a runner what does the research say in terms of the most effective exercises to keep injuries away and make you the most efficient trail runner. Tim Gabbett talking about the benefits of being a multi-sport athlete as long as possible. It has so many benefits from loading, decision making, socialization, and even burn out.

Train Smarter AND Harder: Highlights from Our Weekend with Dr. Tim Gabbett
We were honored to host world-renowned applied sports scientist Dr. Tim Gabbett at our Kenmore clinic for an intensive 2-day workshop! Dr. Gabbett, recognized as one of the top 25 most impactful sports scientists of all time, brought over 25 years of experience to our team.

Key Takeaways from the Course:

The "And" Factor: Shifting the conversation from training hard or smart to training smarter AND harder. High training loads, when built progressively, can actually act as a "vaccine" against injury.

Acute:Chronic Workload Ratio (ACWR): We took a deep dive into monitoring training spikes to stay in the injury-prevention "Sweet Spot" rather than the "Danger Zone."

Evidence-Based Practice: Moving beyond "gut feelings" to integrate research evidence with clinical experience and athlete values.

Tissue-Specific Loading: Learning how to build specific capacity for bone and muscle health to handle the unique demands of sport.

The "Carpark Brawler" Mentality: Cultivating the robust mindset required for elite performance and resilient rehabilitation.

A huge thank you to Dr. Gabbett for sharing his "common sense" approach to high performance. We are excited to apply these insights to help our local athletes stay healthy and perform at their peak!

We are excited to have Hopelink's Can Madness back this March. As you likely know Ben, Sara, Mandie, & Matt helped get this off the ground in 2008-2009. Hopelink Can Madness runs throughout March of 2026 businesses and community groups of all sizes will face off in weekly one-on-one matchups, collecting food and funds to advance through the bracket – similar to the March Madness™ basketball tournament.

Through weekly weigh-ins, winners will move closer to the championship, while all participating teams will help make a difference in our community.
