Last week, our team from Fairfax Behavioral Health had the privilege of visiting the Wellpinit Boys and Girls Club alongside our colleagues from Inland Northwest Behavioral Health. We were honored to meet with members of the Spokane Tribal Council—Chairman, Greg Abrahamson; Vice Chairman, Danny Kieffer, and Council Members, James Rima and Joanie—to discuss collaborative efforts to enhance mental health, substance use treatment and access to care within Tribal communities. Ebby Sabbagh from NPCE Inc. also joined us and shared the incredible work their team is doing to advance technology within Boys & Girls Clubs.
Billy Flett, Director of the Wellpinit Boys & Girls Club, graciously led us on a tour of the facility. They shared insights into the vital services the Club provides and the impact of its youth development programs. Located on the Spokane Indian Reservation, the Wellpinit Boys & Girls Club serves as a cornerstone for youth empowerment—focusing on academic success, healthy lifestyles and leadership development.
This visit highlighted the critical need for culturally responsive and accessible mental health and substance use services for youth in rural and Tribal communities. We remain deeply committed to strengthening partnerships that support these essential services and ensuring every young person can thrive.

This past Saturday, our team was honored to join partners from Inland Northwest Behavioral Health and Marci and Bill from the Boys & Girls Club of Snohomish County at the Light the Path Charity Auction, benefiting the Wellpinit Boys & Girls Club.
Located in the Spokane Tribe’s Youth Center, the Wellpinit Club supports more than 300 youth, offering before and after-school childcare, summer camps and a teen program that promotes leadership, character development and friendship. The Club offers a safe space where young people can learn, connect and thrive.
This partnership reflects the heart of our Rural Initiatives—bridging gaps in mental health care, education, and youth development in underserved areas. Together, we’re investing in lasting change and creating brighter futures for rural communities across the region.

Outpatient Programs That Fit Your Life
Worried about missing school or work? Don’t be. Our outpatient programs are designed to fit around your schedule so you can focus on healing without putting your life on hold.
At Fairfax Behavioral Health, we're committed to expanding access to vital mental health and substance use services, especially in underserved rural communities. In support of expanding telehealth access, we donated tablets, headphones and Starlink internet to Recovery at Skyland Ranch, empowering individuals there to connect with vital mental health and substance use services.
Skyland Ranch, a dedicated recovery center since 1987, transitioned from serving youth to adults in 1996 and has supported over 1,000 people over the years. Located off Highway 2 in a remote area with limited resources, the Ranch is truly a magical place for holistic healing. It offers a unique and comprehensive approach to recovery, combining evidence-based therapy with outdoor experiences.
Their innovative treatment model includes equine therapy—interacting with horses to foster emotional growth and healing—as well as outdoor activities like trail rides and skill-building exercises such as horseshoeing. These activities promote teamwork, self-reliance and life skills, helping individuals rebuild foundational aspects like work and rental histories.
By providing the technology and connectivity needed for telehealth, we're reducing barriers to care in rural areas and supporting organizations like Skyland Ranch in their mission to transform lives through accessible, compassionate treatment. Together, we’re working to ensure that geography no longer limits access to quality mental health and substance use support.

“Therapy won’t help me, so why bother?”
It’s a common misconception, but it’s just that: a myth.
Whether you're facing a tough season or simply want to better understand yourself, therapy is a powerful tool for support and healing.
Fairfax Behavioral Health was a premier sponsor of the inaugural Joint Services Ball at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, where we were honored with an Appreciation Award for our support. We were joined by representatives from our sister facility, Cedar Hills Hospital, to celebrate Washington State service members, their families and the strength of our military community.

Fairfax Behavioral Health recently donated tablets to the Foundation for Youth Resiliency and Engagement - FYRE in Omak, Washington. This contribution is part of our ongoing effort to reduce barriers to mental health care for youth in rural communities.
FYRE is a remarkable community-based organization serving Okanogan County—one of Washington’s most rural regions. Their mission centers around creating equitable opportunities for all young people to thrive, with a strong focus on mental, physical and social well-being. Through programs that support youth experiencing homelessness, provide leadership development and offer essential resources like hygiene supplies and safe spaces, FYRE reaches over 700 young people annually.
With the support of these tablets, youth in the region will have improved access to telehealth services, including behavioral health care—supporting FYRE’s efforts to ensure care is both accessible and culturally appropriate.
We’re honored to partner with organizations like FYRE that are deeply rooted in their communities and doing the critical work of connecting young people to the resources they need to succeed. Access to care should never be limited by geography, and we’re proud to be part of a broader commitment to rural health equity.
