This patient is 5 months post-op from a Mini Tummy Tuck.
When choosing between a "Mini" and a "Standard" Abdominoplasty, it is important to understand the anatomical differences:
A Mini Tummy Tuck focuses exclusively on the lower abdomen. It does not address loose skin or muscle separation above the belly button. Unlike a standard tummy tuck, where the navel is often floated or repositioned, during a Mini Tummy Tuck, the belly button is left completely untouched and remains attached to the abdominal wall.
At 5 months, her lower abdominal contour is smooth, and her incision is healing well. While the scar is already settling, it will continue to soften, flatten, and fade over the coming months.
