True that!!

There’s something about being surrounded by plants that resets your nervous system in a way people never could. They don’t expect, they don’t demand, they don’t fill the air with small talk or chaos, they just exist, quietly thriving, reminding you what calm actually feels like.

When the world feels loud and messy, I find myself in the garden, hands in the soil, breathing again. The silence isn’t empty, it’s peaceful. And sometimes that’s the only kind of company I want.

Lemon water is great for keeping your body in an alkaline state for health, also great for detox and kidney issues. Starting your day with a glass of tangy-not watered down- lemon juice will do a body good! Diseases and sickness cannot live in an Alkaline environment. Also, ask for lemon in your water when you go to restaurants as this cleanses the pallet and is refreshing!
Enjoy! 🍋

🍋 How to Keep Lemons Fresh for Months

When stored in a plastic bag, lemons usually stay fresh for only a few days. But if you place them in a clean glass jar, cover them completely with water, and seal the lid tightly, they can last up to 3 months in the refrigerator.

✅ The water keeps the peel hydrated, preventing it from drying out.
✅ The lemons retain their natural aroma, flavor, and juiciness for much longer.

A simple, practical way to reduce waste and always have fresh lemons ready for your recipes.

The brain 🧠 is amazing!

A 65-year-old woman in the UK with Parkinson’s disease played the clarinet during brain surgery to help ease her symptoms. Denise Bacon had electrodes implanted in her brain through a procedure called deep brain stimulation (DBS), which sends electrical signals to improve movement. She stayed awake during the operation, and as soon as the stimulation started, she could move her right hand more easily and play the clarinet. The device, powered by a battery in her chest, helps reduce symptoms like stiffness and slow movement.

We are fearfully and wonderfully made!🥹

I had never seen the umbilical cord like this before, I thought it was just a little tube that fed the baby when it was inside the uterus and that was it, but nooooo, now I know it's 2 arteries and 1 vein... the vein carries oxygenated, nutrient-rich blood and the arteries carry deoxygenated blood, waste products (Carbon Dioxide) and nutrient-depleted blood through the placenta and into the bloodstream to get rid of it.

Each one plays an important role in keeping us alive before birth. Our nature is so complex, so minutely detailed that we need to exist. That's why it's important to cut the umbilical cord after three minutes so the placenta can return all the blood and complete its process.

Little science for ya on the beauty of colorful Fall! 🍂 🍁

Sure, we all love the colors of fall leaves. But have you ever stopped to wonder how and why they turn red, orange, yellow, purple and brown?

The simple answer is the days get shorter and the temperature drops.

Leaves are green in spring and summer because of chlorophyll, which absorbs sunlight to produce food for the tree through photosynthesis. As autumn arrives with shorter days and cooler temperatures, trees slow down and eventually stop chlorophyll production. Without the dominant green chlorophyll, that’s why we start to see the red, orange, yellow, purple and brown pigments come through.

I know it’s been a while since I’ve posted pictures of the garden or anything else, I just want to praise the Lord for making the tomato 🍅 plants thrive enough that even though I didn’t care for them as much as I should’ve because of the heat, working outside the home and having a small business. Our tomatoes 🍅 are still coming in for October!!! 👏🏼
I picked lots of green ones as you can see before we cleaned out the garden 🪏 .

The other pictures are of my beautiful coral rose 🌹 which was decimated by the Japanese Beetles 🪲 this summer!
Some gardeners 👩🏻‍🌾 I read about actually encourage you to plant roses so that the Japanese beetles don’t go in your garden, but eat your roses 🌹!
I was so sad to see the Beetles chewing up my beautiful roses before they could fully be enjoyed! 😢
But our Coral Roses sacrifice for the summer proved to be instrumental, at least I feel, in why I did not have many Japanese Beetles in my crops. After surviving the onslaught of Beetles🪲 chewing her buds, she came out with beautiful Fall roses.
So 😝to the 🪲! Lol 😜
Then here is just a few pictures of the Homestead on the ridge as the leaves 🍂 🍁 start turning. I just can’t sing praises loud enough to our God and Creator for ALL His blessings!!😊☺️🙏🙌🏼👏🏼🍅🍉🌽🧅🥒 Enjoy every moment you have to stop and smell the roses 🌹 Blessings!
