“And the Mountains Echoed” by Khaled Hosseini explores themes of family, sacrifice, and love through interconnected stories spanning decades and continents, all stemming from a father’s decision to give up his daughter, Pari, to a wealthy couple in Kabul in 1952, forever altering the lives of his son, Abdullah, and many others.

🐐Volunteer Day!🐐

Come hang with our goats and help us spruce up their area to make it extra nice for them!

Join us on February 28 from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM! We are now expecting donations like
any old tires, brushes, Pallets, wooden planks, old kids playground or barrels its not required but we appreciate any donations for the goats

 ✨Volunteers under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a chaperone or guardian.
 ✨Wear comfortable clothing and shoes that can get dirty, and please bring gloves.
✨Be sure to dress appropriately for the weather.
As a thank-you for volunteering, you’ll receive a free non-alcoholic drink from our café and a 10% discount voucher for the Haven shop.

We have a lot of new faces around here! Thank y’all for blowing us up this week 😍😍

For those new to us at Haven, we thought we’d do a quick intro for our beautiful space!

Haven was founded by our family in 2017 as a way for our local community to come together for intentional celebration, gathering, learning, sharing, and growing!

Our amazing team allows us to manage all kinds of events and gatherings, as well as caring for our animals and plants on the farm. Here’s what you can expect when you stop in and see us 💚

✨Community and inclusion: Folks of all ages are welcome at Haven! We have weekly free events for kids and adults alike

✨Nature and education: Explore our nature trails, visit with our goats, or check out our produce grow tunnels!

✨Plant medicine and wellness: we believe in the healing power of plant medicine. always has a rotating selection of amazing 🌿 products.

✨Events big and small: From weddings and birthday parties, to artist markets and corporate retreats, we can do it all! No event is too big or too small for us.

✨A gathering place for all: Our shoppe is open 5 days a week for coffee and drinks, and we’re open late on the weekends for flower tastings and Saturday Night Lites!

No matter your vibe, there’s something at Haven for you! We can’t wait to share our space with you 💚

As part of our 3rd annual Heritage Fest, we’re bringing 2 very special storytime sessions for the kiddos for y’all to enjoy!

Young aspiring authors Naomi and Jace will be sharing pieces from their books! And our dear friend Ms.Barbra will also be hosting a storytime for kids of all ages 📚

Heritage Fest is open to all ages, and we can’t wait to see y’all this Sunday from 1-5pm! ❤️💛💚

Happy Valentine’s Day, Haven fam 💖💖

We’re so happy to show y’all our new goat babies that were born just a couple weeks ago! 🥰

We have 4 sweet babies that are ready to cuddle with y’all! Once these babes get a little bigger and the weather warms up, they’ll be ready for visitors! In the meantime, their mama and our farm team is taking great care of them 🥰

We hope everyone feels the love today! And we’ll see yall tonight for SNL 💖💖💖

✨Heritage Fest Spotlight ✨

We’re counting down the days til our 3rd annual heritage fest, y’all! Join us on Feb 22nd from 1-5pm for a celebration of Black culture across our region ❤️💛💚

The will be performing with their amazing African dance and movement showcase during the festival! Everyone is encouraged to join in on the fun and learn the moves 💃🕺

Come see their show at 2pm after our welcome into the festival! Led by Baba McDaniel Roberts 💚

Baba McDaniel Roberts is a native of Durham, NC. Currently, he is the Dance Specialist at Murray-Massenburg Elementary School, Co-Coordinator of Kings and Queens, Artistic Director of The Harambee Collective, Co-Director of Baba’s Rising Sons, R.N. Harris Elementary School 2023-24 Beginning Teacher of the Year, and the 2016 Recipient of the Durham Arts Council Emerging Artist Award. His motto, “Believe in Yourself, Keep the Faith, and Don’t Give Up”.
