Cyndi A. Spurlock, 67, of Rush County, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday morning, October 12, 2025, following a lengthy health battle.

She was born on May 29, 1958, in Leaksville, North Carolina, a daughter of the late Russ Freeman.

Cyndi was raised by her father, Russ and Gail Freeman in North Carolina and Cincinnati, Ohio.

She was a reserve officer and dispatcher for the Knightstown Police Department for over 20 years. Cyndi also worked at the Indiana Soldiers and Sailors Home in Knightstown and was a part-time bartender at Jones’s Bar in Carthage. She loved cooking, finding new recipes, watching cooking shows, and buying everything from TV commercials.
