Merry Christmas to all. This will be the project/class for next year.... starting my list.

Posting my Merry March tree skirt design for the first time this year — Snowy Scenes really took centre stage — but this tree skirt continues to be one of my most favourite and rewarding designs. It was something that I put together at the end of last year.

It’s a reminder of just how far I’ve come with designing and writing patterns, and how illustration and quilting can come together in such a special way. 🎄✨

What are some things in your sewing room that bring you happiness? I love my bird feeder in full view from my sewing station. Juncos are my favorite and chickadees second. Pictures please.

Story time... a few years ago I was asked to make a special quilt for a customer. She wanted it to represent her brother's service to the airforce and the fire department. I had never done paper piecing, so I spent 10 hours doing 2, 12 inch blocks. I swore I would never do it again. Then, I fell in love with this pattern by Charisma Horton. Took it to retreat, and kept putting off the pieces because I didn't want to have to do paper piecing. Now, the quilt blocks are done, and I need to learn how to finish the last block. Who do I watch on YouTube to teach me?

What OCD (Army efficient)thing do you do while sewing? I know i double touch my pieces of fabric, but I hate not being able to get them apart when I need them. Random fact... it takes almost 66 times to form a habit, not the 21 we were told. I am 1/2 way done on this christmas quilt.

After getting all the customer quilts finished for christmas, now I get to work on my own. I started it a year ago at a memorable retreat with my mother and her friends. Bobbin roulette is a real thing. I guess the quilting fairy is on my side. If only it would magically finish my quilt. What last minute things are you working on?

Trying this again with an updated price... For months I have been procrastinating to get this quilt finished. I changed my mind of how I wanted to decorate for christmas, so I am selling it. This queen (83W x 89L) quilt could be yours for $400. It even has fl**ge binding.
