I had the privilege of traveling a long side and providing recovery for the cyclists for 3 days out of their 12 day journey. They are on a 1098 mile bike ride- one mile to honor each career coaching win of the late, great Pat Summitt. They are riding to support the fight against Alzheimer’s. The money that is raised will go to the Pat Summitt Foundation. This foundation focuses on advancing research for treatment and a cure, providing care and support for patients and caregivers, and educating the public about Alzheimer's disease. 🚴 Knox Muscle Therapy is so excited to be a part of the Onward recovery team for Pedal for Alzheimer’s: Pedal for Pat endurance event. 

Pedal for Alzheimer’s is a non-profit committed to organizing cycling events to spread awareness and raise fund for Alzheimer’s research, education, support and care.

The riders will embark on an unforgettable 1100-mile journey spanning multiple states, all for a meaningful cause- Alzheimer’s awareness and research.

With each pedal stroke, our team of sports rehab specialists will be by the riders’ side, providing top-notch recovery support through out the entire event. From pre-ride warm-up to post-ride cool-downs, we’ve got your back- and your legs!

Join us in the fight against Alzheimer’s and experience this event like never before. Together, we’ll ride, recover and make a difference.

Clinical Massage

Clinical massage is our favorite modality at Knox Muscle Therapy. Our massage therapist uses her training in Kinesiology and clinical massage certification to provide a tailored massage plan for each client. A clinical massage session begins with a postural evaluation to observe any imbalances that may be causing our client’s pain issue. We then treat specific muscle groups that create those pain patterns. For example did you know overly tight hamstrings can lead to lower back pain? Clinical massage can be helpful in preventing and recovering from a wide range of injuries and pain, including:

Lower back pain
Carpel Tunnel Syndrome
Sciatica
Shoulder impingement
Neck pain and limited range of motion
Tendonitis
Plantar fascitis
Muscle strains
Headaches

We have 3 DAYS of availability left for the month of September before our massage therapist takes off for maternity leave! Our therapist will be returning in January 2023.

So if you’ve been thinking about booking a massage or you are noticing your body feels a little tight, now is the time to book! Our therapist won’t be taking any new appointments after this week and we will announce when you are able to schedule January appointments.
