We’re excited to share that the Knoxville Family Justice Center has added a Knoxville Area Project Access (KAPA) Kitchen Food Pantry barrel to our front lobby 🥕🍪🥗

KAPA Kitchen is a community-driven program working to fight food insecurity and ensure families have access to essential pantry items. Visitors and community members are invited to help support this effort by donating non-perishable food items during our regular hours. (KAPA can arrange pick up or drop off of perishable food items though!)

This partnership allows us to continue supporting survivors and families in our community in meaningful, practical ways. Every donation—big or small—helps make a difference!

Today is Giving Tuesday!

The KAPA Kitchen is excited to be participating in the 2025 Giving Tuesday! Collectively, physicians and community donors have distributed more than 100,000 pounds of food to our neighbors in need!!!

In November, in addition to regular shopping hours in the KAPA Kitchen, we partnered with Wellpoint, Faith Promise Church, McNabb Center, and Gordon Foods to provide Thanksgiving dinners for 600 families! Also in November, we were able to purchase a refrigerated vehicle that has already reaped more than 4,600 pounds of food rescue from NEW food donation sources for the KAPA Kitchen. That’s 4,600 pounds of additional food for families in the month of November alone!

SNAP benefits are being restored but the need for a stable food source is still much needed. You can provide food for the Christmas Holidays and beyond by donating on Giving Tuesday to the KAPA Kitchen. Your tax deductible donation will go to provide food for families in more than 23 counties.
