Congratulations to Kimberly, one of our April Employees of the Month! She works in the Emergency Department Registration and has been with us one year. Here is what we received in her nomination:
🌟 Kimberly always goes above and beyond for the patients and staff. There is no task too big or too small for her. I often call her Momma Kimberly. She makes sure that every new employee knows the flow of the ER and how to make life easier for us and the patients. There is never a dull moment when Momma Kimberly is on shift!
🌟Kimberly truly cares about people, and it shows. She treats everyone with the same kindness and respect and leads by example. Even when things get hectic, she stays calm and helps keep everyone grounded.
🌟Kimberly brings so much positive energy to the team. Her kindness makes even the busiest, most stressful shifts feel a little lighter. Patients feel it, coworkers feel it, and the whole department benefits from having her around.
When asked for the “why” behind her work, Kimberly said: “I have been with Covenant Health LeConte for a year and a half, and I truly love it. The ER staff has become like a second family to me, and I am always learning from the amazing nurses. Working registration in the ER can be challenging. When people are sick or hurt, answering questions is the last thing they want to do. I have always believed that a friendly smile and a caring demeanor can make a real difference. Recently, I helped register the sweetest elderly patient who came in with severe weakness. Her husband was not doing well either, so I checked on him and offered a drink, a snack, and a blanket when I noticed he was cold. They were both very appreciative, and the patient even asked for a hug from me, her nurse, and the doctor. Patient care is the reason we are all there. I simply enjoy making someone’s day just a little bit better.”
