Don’t wait for symptoms—screening saves lives.

Colorectal cancer is one of the most preventable cancers when caught early, yet many people delay getting screened. Regular screenings can find precancerous changes before they turn into cancer—or detect cancer early, when treatment works best.

If you’re 45 or older (or younger with risk factors), it’s time to talk to your healthcare provider about screening options.

Your health matters. A simple test today could make all the difference tomorrow. Click here to schedule an appointment: https://bit.ly/4rV3g0n

Congratulations to Halee Stover with our Emergency Department for being recognized as a recent MMCer of the Month.

Her nomination reads: “Halee has been precepting a new graduate nurse and went above and beyond to support her transition from SNA to RN. Halee took the time to create individualized reference cards for this nurse, covering each body system with details on common diagnoses, expected treatments, interventions and procedures.

When the new graduate nurse had questions regarding OB-related situations, Halee recognized that this was not her own area of expertise. Instead of leaving the nurse without guidance, she proactively contacted Family Birthing to arrange for the nurse to ask her questions directly to the team most equipped to answer them. This not only provided accurate and valuable education but also demonstrated Halee's commitment to supporting her colleague's growth and confidence. Halee exemplifies dedication to both patient care and the professional development of her peers, helping to foster a supportive work environment and contributing to nurse retention at MMC."

Halee thank you for being an outstanding example in your nursing profession and for your dedication to mentorship and team success!

Today our team proudly wore blue in recognition of Wear Blue Day for Colon Cancer Awareness.

At Methodist, we stand with survivors, families, and healthcare professionals working to prevent and fight colon cancer. This is a cancer that is highly preventable and often curable when detected early through routine screenings. We’re grateful for the team members from MMC and from our Covenant Medical Group physician practices who joined in today to help raise awareness and start important conversations. A simple screening can save lives.

If you’re eligible or overdue, talk with your healthcare provider about getting screened. Encourage your loved ones to do the same. Prevention starts with awareness. Click here to learn more: https://bit.ly/4rV3g0n

This Friday, March 6, wear 💙 BLUE 💙 to stand up for Colon Cancer Awareness!

Colon cancer is one of the most preventable cancers with regular screening — and awareness can save lives. Let’s show our support for survivors, honor those we’ve lost, and remind our friends and family to get screened.

Snap a photo, share why you’re wearing blue, and tag your friends to keep the awareness going. Together, we can make a difference.
