Well for Christmas we got hacked!
Sorry for the inconvenience and I received a couple text messages and voicemails that have indicated my page had disappeared…
It did, but we got it back!

Customer decided to remove cable pedals and go with StruTeks all steel rod design!
Customer had someone remove the cable set up before they got here. When he removed the cable set up, he found that the cable was about to break. There was only ONE SINGLE STRAND that hadn’t broke, and he told her if she drove it one more time her brake pedal would have broke, and she would not have been able to stop.
If you have cables, inspect or replace them often.

This is called a “tension” rod. It is meant to create tension and is made out of soft aluminum.
This is used in a conversion solely for the purpose of creating tension in the belt.
This should NEVER be used as a support to hold up your entire steering wheel and column. A fabricator in Elizabethton, Kentucky has been known to use this as the sole support of the entire right hand, drive steering wheel and column.
That is extremely dangerous and negligent on the fabricators part.
That will not survive an accident and will most likely strip or break loose after enough vibration and normal use.
If you loosen this and your entire steering wheel and column come loose, I would suggest contacting that fabricator to fix it correctly.
Most of us use some type of waiver that needs to be signed prior to conversion, but everyone should know that if your conversion fails, falls apart or doesn’t function correctly due to negligence they are 100% still legally liable.
Don’t settle for this kind of work it will get you hurt or somebody else.
If you loosen this tension rod, and your whole system gets loose get it fixed as soon as possible this is highly dangerous.
I am a former RCA and still have family in the business for over 20 years… this is not acceptable in my mind. It’s not about just taking the paycheck and sending the people on the road or some junk system…. Do it right or get out of the business!

Great way to wake up this morning! Another customer that went with one of the other “fabricators” and ended up with a janky conversion. Poorly placed pedals, horrible welds, can barely turn the steering wheel and downright GARBAGE.
From Kentucky… promised to fix but as usual… never did or will… shame on you.
I appreciate you coming here and trust in this process with StruTek.
The last thing I want is some of these poor fabricators, giving conversions a bad name… you come to StruTek, I guarantee you it’ll last you the lifetime of that car and you won’t be coming back to have anything fixed…. I have eight years of outstanding service providing clean quality, and safe work!

2023 Toyota Tacoma Pedals Only conversation. See video ⬇️
This conversion was done in Arkansas. The customer drove 10 hours to bring me this car.
He wanted the cable pedals removed because they kept breaking and so was going to have me put in just pedals.
As you can tell, this steering system was bolted to the glove box  PLASTIC ONLY!
The entire system bounces around as you drive it, and you can hear the plastic creaking as it's about to break further . I decided to go ahead and do him a solid and sturdy up the system for free.
As a former RCA and that has a family member in the business for the last 23 years , I take this personal.... shame on you.
 taking carriers money and throwing them on the road with garbage like this is absolutely unacceptable and I don't know how you sleep at night. Do better.
The cable system broke multiple times and screws were falling out as well.
Only a matter of time before the whole Dash ends up breaking because it is only bolted to plastic, which was already breaking ... pathetic!

Another testament that our conversation can withstand accidents that get totaled. This returning customer was hit by a car that ran a red light and took off the whole front end of his vehicle. Thank God he was ok and not hurt!
He came back to the place he knows will build a conversion to last and withstand such an accident.

StruTek has been in business 8 years and has NEVER had a conversion break because we refuse to use cables that stretch and break on a regular basis! As a former RCA that is unacceptable.. 🤬
