Today we celebrate the people who make everything we do possible.

As part of our January employee engagement activity, we asked our team to choose their Word of the Year for 2026.

The top three were Consistency, Growth, and Resilience, with Consistency selected most often.

These words perfectly reflect the dedication our therapists, clinicians, and team members bring to their work every day.

On National Employee Appreciation Day, we thank our entire team for the impact they make in the lives of the patients we serve.

Quality in healthcare is not a checklist. It is a commitment.

Functional Fundamental #17, Make Quality Personal, challenges us to move beyond compliance and into true ownership. Excellence in therapy is never accidental. It is intentional, deliberate, and reflected in the details of our work every day.

It shows up in clinical documentation that tells the full story, communication that builds trust with residents and partners, and patient-centered care focused on measurable outcomes. It is reinforced through accountability and a shared commitment to high standards across every community we serve.

Making quality personal means holding ourselves to those standards even when no one is watching. It means taking responsibility for outcomes and delivering the level of care we would expect for our own families.

When quality becomes personal, patient outcomes improve, teams grow stronger, and communities thrive. This is how Functional Pathways elevates therapy services across the senior living continuum.

What does making quality personal look like in your organization?

What a great turnout at Trinity Terrace in Fort Worth.

The Functional Pathways team hosted a health fair to introduce residents to therapy services and provide helpful information about how to obtain therapy in their community. Residents loved the How to Obtain Therapy flyer and thought the Valentine heart magnets were a fun and thoughtful touch. ❤️

Thank you to Evonna, Director of Rehab, for helping plan and host the event. Pictured here with her are Laura Hendee, PTA, and Shawn Birtciel, Wellness Coordinator.

We are proud to support communities that prioritize education, wellness, and resident engagement.

It was an honor to attend the Centennial Gala for Penney Retirement Community and celebrate an extraordinary 100 year milestone.

A century of service, purpose driven living, and unwavering commitment to residents is no small achievement. The evening was a beautiful reflection of honoring the past while investing in the future.

We were proud to be represented by Dustin Pierson, Area Director of Operations, alongside other leaders committed to supporting strong operational performance and meaningful outcomes in senior living.

Congratulations to Penney Retirement Community on 100 years of impact and legacy. We are grateful for the opportunity to partner with organizations that elevate the senior living experience and prioritize purposeful living.

Here’s to the next century of leadership, partnership, and progress.

The foods we choose each day influence blood pressure, cholesterol, inflammation, and energy. Small changes like adding more fruits and vegetables, choosing whole grains, and incorporating healthy fats can create meaningful impact over time.

Our Story

Since 1995, Functional Pathways has consistently provided premier contract therapy services throughout the nation. Our mission has always been to make a difference by providing Excellence in Rehabilitation. We believe our values have made a difference in the lives of our patients, our colleagues, and our clients. We value loyal, mutual, long-lasting relationships with customers, patients and each other. We always do what we say we will do. We take complete responsibility for ourselves, our patients and colleagues. We have an environment and expectation of continuous self-improvement. We address the needs of our customers, patients and employees, whatever they may be with innovation, creativity and individualization. We show complete commitment to doing everything we can to improve the lives of our patients. We have passion and are empathetic about care giving.

Functional Pathways enters each new partnership with an eye toward the long term. Our Client Partnership Strategy provides a system by which we inquire about and understand our client’s expectations throughout our partnership. It balances internal tools that guarantee both consistent quality performance and effective client communications.

To-date, our continued partnerships have been predicated on three unique features that set us apart from all other therapy providers. These features include: Our Values, Our Promise, and Our Innovation. Clients that partner with us will also receive these as additional benefits within their own facilities. Our focus on person-centered care and doing what is right, providing better satisfaction of residents and families while optimizing reimbursement and managing compliance. We encourage you to partner with us to make a difference in the lives you touch.
