Knoxville's Kettlebell Club Unconventional training by appointment indoors/outdoors/virtual. However many more traditions have endured and are available to us today.

Learn to use ancient strength training techniques to rebuild your body, increase performance and reduce pain. Weekly group Saturday mornings 900AM *outdoors* at Bearden greenway : 2908 Painter Ave 37919All levels, beginners welcome. $10 drop-in.Personal and virtual session by appointment.Ancient cultures had ingenious methods for physical training - the example which most readily comes to mind is Yoga. Collectively these traditions are now sometimes described as "Unconventional Training" and are distinguished by demanding a level of core strength, balance and mobility not required by most modern methods. The kettlebell is the most common implement used in Unconventional Training and has come to symbolize the approach. Other implements include heavy clubs and maces, sleds, chains, and sandbags, with body-weight exercises featured as well. Unconventional Training is for those who want to recover from chronic pain or nagging injuries; for those who want a mobility-focused fitness program; for those seeking a holistic but non-dogmatic approach to training.
