This week I suddenly realized how much the snake plant in my office has grown over the last 6 months. (Pictured are after and before pics 🙂).
And, especially around new years, I find myself thinking about the markers of passing time and how we define success and progress.
Often times we celebrate the big achievements and forget to acknowledge the steady growth that happens when we show up each and every day and do our best, the movement we make little by little, day after day as we tend to our lives with presence, dedication and trust in the process.
One of the things I intentionally kept in the forefront of my mind this past year is that even though I may be working towards a series of goals that I have not yet met, it’s important to lean into the joy woven into the journey. Let me tell you, it was really supportive to play my own gentle cheerleader in my head!
Even though we may not have arrived where we hope to end up, we have to trust in our process and name the meaningfulness of the seemingly mundane. Progress isn’t linear, a simple forwards or backwards, expansion is a spiral.

Trust yourself, find the joy in the journey, believe in your capacity to meet your dreams, obstacles are just information, allow your imagination to reveal hope, take aligned action… watch the magic unfold.
Take time to celebrate 💫
What a beautiful dance devotion can be.
