April is Parkinson’s Awareness Month!
Parkinson’s disease is a neurological condition that affects the brain and how the body moves. It can cause symptoms like shaking (tremors), stiffness, slowed movement, and challenges with balance. It can also affect things we don’t always see, like mood, sleep, and thinking.
People with Parkinson’s are still students, friends, teachers, and family members, just like anyone else. Raising awareness helps us build understanding, reduce stigma, and support those living with it.
Take a moment this month to learn, ask questions, and show kindness, small actions can make a big difference.
