Gentiva Hospice of Kosciusko, MS, welcomes Dr. James Withers.

Dr. Withers was born and raised in Jackson, MS. He graduated magna cm laude from the University of West Alabama with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He earned his Doctorate in Medicine from the University of Mississippi. He completed his residency in Family Medicine from the University of Mississippi Medical Center, where he also served as chief resident. He served as an associate professor in the Department of Family Medicine prior to joining Premier Medical Group of Mississippi in 2006. Dr. Withers is board-certified in Family Medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine. He is also a member of the Mississippi Academy of Family Medicine, the American Academy of Family Medicine, the American Medical Association, and the Mississippi State Medical Association. He has been a partner at Premier Medical Group of Mississippi since 2007 and has served as president. Dr. Withers and his wife live in Kosciusko with their six children. Gentiva Hospice of Kosciusko is honored to welcome Dr. Withers to our team. With a commitment to compassionate end-of-life care, Dr. Withers brings expertise, empathy, and a heart for serving patients and families during life's most tender moments. We are grateful to have him on this journey with us as we serve our community.
