Dr. Teresa Swida, was born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina by Polish parents, arriving in Los Angeles, California in 1963. Dr. Swida obtained her Doctor of Osteopathy degree from the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific in 1991 and trained at LA County-USC Medical Center. After more than 10 years in private practice, Dr. Swida was dissatisfied with traditional patient care in the United States, and became a Diplomate of the American Board of Holistic Medicine, a fellow of the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, and a member of the American Society of Bariatric Physicians. This allowed Dr. Swida to focus on true patient health, wellness and prevention, through improved nutrition, vitamin supplementation and healthy weight loss. She is multilingual with fluency in English, Spanish and Polish. In addition to being a voracious reader and amateur writer, her hobbies include natural history, exploring the outdoors, flower arranging, sewing and gardening. The light of her life are her seven grandchildren, as well as her wonderful elderly mother, Maria Swida and husband, Duke.
