Sever’s Disease - here’s Lucca’s story.

6% of active children age 8-14 are estimated to suffer from heel pain related to Sever’s Disease.

A special shoe insert can in many cases relief the pain and the child can maintain sport activity.

Better Posture

Here’s the first exercise to improve your posture.
When you strengthen your core, back and shoulders - you are able to maintain a good posture longer!

Exercise:
- Lift your chest up and stand tall
- Retract your shoulders
- Lift your elbows to shoulder level
- 12 reps x 2
- challenge yourself by lifting your heels up as high as possible.

Tight Back?

Here’s exercise 3 to help tightness in your back.

Tightness in the back often occur from overuse (training, working )or from prolonged sitting/standing.

Exercise:
- Place your right foot behind the left
- push you hips to the right
- extend your right arm over your head and lean towards your left side - and keep pushing your hip to the right
- hold stretch for 30 sec.
- repeat other side. 2 x 30 sec. each side

Here’s exercise 2 to help tightness in your back.

Exercise:
-Put left foot and right knee on the ground
- out your left hand behind your back and your right hand on your left thigh
- keep your back straight, rotate your upper body to the left
- hold the stretch for 5-10 sec. x 5
- repeat other side..

Tight back?
Here’s the first of 3 exercises to help tightness in your back.

Tightness in the back often occur from overuse (training, working), or from prolonged sitting/standing.

Exercise:
- stand on all 4, sway you back as much as you can, then arch your back to end range - hold the position and then sit back on your feet - and relax!
- Hold the stretch for 5 sec. - repeat exercise 8 times
- do it 2-3 times a day until you feel your tightness is gone.

Here’s another great exercise for more stability and strength in your ankle and foot:

1 leg stand with focus on your foot arch , balance and posture.

- Stand with feet hip with apart
- Lift up your foot arch on 1 foot - but keep your toes and inner part of heel grounded
- put the other foot on the side of your knee and keep your balance, while keeping your foot arch lifted
- keep your knee slightly bent on the supporting leg, stand tall and keep back straight
- hold the position for 5 sec.
(- for easier exercise put you foot on the side of your ankle)

8 reps x 2 rounds

Great exercise for more stability and strength in your ankle and foot:

Squat with focus on your foot arch and knees.

- Stand with feet hip with apart
- Lift up your foot arch - but keep your toes and inner part of heel grounded
- squat down and move your butt back in to the room - and keep your foot arch lifted
- keep your knee alignment - knees stays over your feet

10 reps x 3 daily
