Last night we celebrated our volunteers with a dinner at Osteria Emilia.
Each year we award a volunteer with the Volunteer Spirit Award. This award was created by the BSJ Corporation Board of Directors in 1993. The purpose of the award is to focus attention on the significance and importance of all volunteer efforts in BSJ‘s corporation facilities. One person is recognized each year as an example of volunteer commitment for our residents, tenants and clients. This year the award was given to Rocky, a volunteer that helps weekly at both Mass and rosary.
Thank you to all of our volunteers for the dedication of your time and talents to help better our residents lives. We couldn’t do what we do without you!

Thank you to the UWL Nuclear Medicine Technology Club for volunteering your time to engage in bingo activities. The residents certainly appreciate the students' visits!

We are collecting supplies for the amazing cats at Tabby Town USA, Inc.! Every donation helps them provide food, toys, bedding, and love for cats waiting for their forever homes.

Check out their wishlist online and their needed items list in this post. Donations can be dropped off at the Bethany St. Joseph Care Center Recreation Room until April 28th!

Yesterday was national coffee cake day so naturally, we had to celebrate! Residents baked a cinnamon sugar coffee cake in the morning and enjoyed it in the afternoon with a hot cup of coffee☕️

Spring has sprung which means it’s time to get our vegetable seeds planted! Stop on in the recreation room the next couple weeks to check out the progress of the tomato and pepper plants🍅🫑

On Friday afternoon, residents took a trip down memory lane by listening to music by the Grumpy Old Men Jazz Band and enjoying banana split sundaes. Lilly, the recreation therapy intern, planned and decorated for a fun-filled big band bash party.🎺🎷🎸🎶
