Friday Feels…
“People speak sometimes about the ‘be****al’ cruelty of man, but that is terribly unjust and offensive to beasts, no animal could ever be so cruel as a man, so artfully, so artistically cruel.”
A quote by Fyodor Dostoyevsky
The story of Wojtek, the orphaned Iranian bear who became enlisted in the Polish army during WWll, is actually a bit beautiful despite the fact that it is a war story and war is far from being a beautiful thing. During a time humans were being exceptionally cruel, Wojtek brought empathy, hope, camaraderie and morale to men that were fighting to liberate Poland from N**i occupation. It also feels like a very relevant story with everything going on in the world present day.
Let us humans try to put a stop to the man made cruelty we’ve all grown so accustomed to and embrace a more be****al beauty, listening to our hearts, leaning into our intuitions and learning from the rhythms/cycles of nature.
Happy Friday, happy first day of summer.
Take care everyone!
