And just like that, this year's Self Determination Conference has come to an end. Participants in all locations had a blast with fun activities, workshops, and seeing their friends from different areas. Aptiv's very own Nate Hundt, Program Operations Director also made an appearance to present about all of the new things Aptiv has been doing. Thank you Wisconsin Board for People with Developmental Disabilities for this wonderful yearly opportunity. And thank you to the staff who supported participants on this trip. 💙

We are so proud and so thankful! We wouldn't be able to make these employment opportunities possible without the help of our communities.

The City Council has declared October as Disability Employment Awareness month in Janesville!

This recognition celebrates the countless contributions residents with disabilities make to our community. City staff presented Aptiv with the resolution at their facility on Barberry Drive. For almost 50 years, the nonprofit has provided services that help people with disabilities live with greater independence and community engagement.

DYK? Visual impairment affects over 100,000 Wisconsinites. Today is White Cane Safety Day, a national observance that celebrates independence and mobility for people with vision loss. Wisconsin law requires drivers to stop at least 10 feet or more from someone who is using a white cane or guide dog.
