Thank you to the NICU teams for organizing Cocoa for Kids to benefit Children's Miracle Network at Emplify Health by Gundersen raising $750! Twice per week throughout December, NICU staff set up a hot chocolate bar to raise money for local kids. Check out their adorable setup, and join us in thanking them for their creativity!

✨ CMN Hospitals Heroes -- where are they now? ✨

In this edition, we're checking in on 2022 Hero, Jedi! A kind and well-spoken kid, Jedi shared his story of being a cancer survivor during his Hero year. He also served as Jr. emcee of the 2023 Miracle Gala!

Today, Jedi is a sophomore in high school and has earned his driver's license. Recently, he celebrated the 5th anniversary of his bone marrow transplant with his tradition of ice cream for breakfast! He enjoys fishing, riding his dirt bike, snowboarding and playing games with his brothers.

Thanks to support from Children's Miracle Network at Emplify Health by Gundersen more infants in the NICU can stay close to home! Grant funding allowed for the purchase of a NeoLight, which monitors brain activity when the NICU team suspects neurological concerns, a service that would have meant transferring the infant to another facility before this.
