“Before vision therapy it was hard to stay on the line good when I was reading and it frustrated me. I did not like reading. Since doing vision therapy I can stay on the lines better and it’s not frustrating. Now I can actually read good. I’d still rather play football than read though”

“Before vision therapy I had double vision, the sentences would hop lines and move around. I wrote at a slant, numbers in math didn’t line up and it was hard to concentrate on what I was reading. Now I feel more relaxed and my reading and writing have improved. Vision therapy has helped me in school, I enjoy reading more and my math skills have improved quite a bit. My trap scores have also improved. Some of the best parts of vision therapy were the games and the people who helped me. I would recommend vision therapy to anyone who is struggling academically. It is so much easier to focus and read the words. I now love to read the BABY-SITTERS CLUB every night before bed. One of my favorite parts of vision therapy was Mrs. Christy and getting prizes.”

“Where to begin? Maizee started off HATING reading. It was a battle every night getting her to read her 20-30 minutes of homework. Tears were shed quite often and frustration by both her and us as parents. The same word would be on numerous pages, and she would consistently get it wrong. She received extra help in school, and we hired a private tutor, and nothing was helping. Then we were told about vision therapy through a friend who had completed the program and heard nothing but good reviews. We then started hearing about vision therapy from numerous others in our small town and thought we might as well give it a try. My only regret is we didn’t start sooner! Maize was a “textbook” case of why vision therapy was made. At the beginning maize didn’t love doing the homework but as time went on an she was seeing improvements it just became part of her nightly routine. She now LOVES to read every night. She found a book series she loves and asked to read every night before bed and just whenever she feels like it. We cannot thank Christy, Dr. Wonderling, Nancy, and the whole staff at Vision Therapy Academy. I am actually a little sad we won’t be seeing everyone on a weekly basis anymore! I finally have my happy reading little girl who doesn’t mind doing homework anymore! THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts!”
