After almost 2 years in the making, the new airplane exhibit at the Children's Museum of La Crosse is officially unveiled! It has been a true labor of love.
Our highly skilled and creative A&P Mechanics, Mike and Bryan, spent countless hours transforming the original exhibit by utilizing the original fuselage and making some upgrades to the interior. Then they were able to salvage real airplane parts from a Bonanza that was on its way to the junkyard. They shrunk down the tail and wings so it could fit inside the museum doors, but how cool is it that actual airplane parts are used 🛩️🛩️🛩️
Wayde, our Line Technician and a private pilot, captured video of the City of La Crosse, giving kids the sense that they are really flying through the sky.
Abra Auto Body Repair of America and Dahl Automotive generously painted the aircraft to match the theme of the museum colors and to give it a true "glow up" 🤩
It takes a village and we hope all the children in our community love this plane as much as we do!
