The One Health Commission is a non-profit organization that was started in the United States in 2009, bringing together different stakeholders in the local, regional, national and international levels who are working in various sectors, including health for people, animals, plants and the environment they all share.

This day brings worldwide attention to the collaborative efforts that have been going on through One Health, bringing inclusion for current efforts and inspiration for projects to come.

Create a Great Funeral Day was founded with the hopes of getting loved ones to sit down together and talk about what they would want at their funeral. This type of forward thinking helps loved ones know what the plan is when the time comes and keeps them from having to juggle their grief with trying to plan a funeral and guess what they would have wanted.

From big plans like a living will or a burial plot to smaller thoughts such as a particular song to be played at the funeral or words for the headstone, Create a Great Funeral Day is all about sharing preferences and opening up a healthy conversation about death.

Navy Day began on October 27, 1922, an annual celebration to honor all members of the U.S. Navy, past and present, to raise public awareness of the Navy's importance. The date was chosen to honor President Theodore Roosevelt's birthday.
