Good thing we did our clean up yesterday or we wouldn't have anything left to clean up today.

If you see roll-carts that took a windy cruise to the end of the street, call 541-963-5459 to verify the cart number assigned to your account.

To minimize blowing trash and recyclables, we recommend placing something heavy on the lid like a gallon jug filled with water. It isn't foolproof, but it does help depending on the direction of the wind.

Despite the wind, we are still accepting yard debris through the end of the month. Yard debris drop off ends November 29th this year.

Reminder: Wednesdays we are closed to the public for cleanup and other maintenance.

Some services in La Grande may be a little later than normal due to street closures.

💻♻️ E-Waste Recycling Reminder! ♻️📺

Did you know that the Waste-Pro Transfer Station is an Oregon E-Cycles collection site?

Residents can bring seven or fewer accepted items for drop off at no charge. Accepted items include: Desktops, Laptops, Printers, TVs/Monitors, Tablets, Keyboards, and Mice.

⚠️Remember: in Oregon, it is illegal to place computers, monitors, and TVs in the trash. Please use our E-Cycles site instead!

Open 9am to 4:30pm Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays (closed Wed & Sun).

Are your jack-o-lanterns a touch on the moldy side? 🤢 Save space in your garbage cart by using our Yard Debris program.

Sad pumpkins and other yard waste can be brought in through the end of this month. November 29th will be the last day to bring in yard debris or green waste for the season.

While you really should work on that honey-do list, here is your excuse to procrastinate the yard debris a little longer. Yard debris is accepted March through NOVEMBER each year. Even if yard debris disposal is not included with your garbage service, it is still discounted from the trash rate through the end of the season.

Pro-tip: our yard debris pile is a great place for your scarier-than-intended pumpkins after the holiday.

Happy Labor Day Weekend!

Just a friendly reminder about our upcoming holiday schedule for Monday, September 1st, 2025.

Garbage 🚛& Recycle ♻️ service will be operating as normal. Please have your containers at the curb Sunday night to ensure they are ready for service as drivers may start early.

Our Office 📎 and Transfer Station 🦺will be CLOSED. ⛔️

Both the Office and Transfer Station will reopen for regular hours on Tuesday, September 2nd. ✅

SERVICE NOTICE - TUB SERVICES IN ELGIN/HWY 82

At this time, we expect to begin a new route servicing 300 gallon tubs in and near Elgin and along Hwy 82.

The first service day of this new route will be Wednesday, August 20th, 2025 and continue every other Wednesday thereafter.

Please note, this change will only affect Tub services in Elgin or on Highway 82 south of Elgin. Green rollcarts will continue to be serviced on original Tuesday routes.
