Dr. Krystal Tsosie (Navajo Nation)
2020-present: Dr. Tsosie is a geneticist and bioethicist co-leading the first Indigenous-owned genomic research biobank. She is an advocate for Native data sovereignty and ethical AI use in health research.

Joelle Bearstail (Mandan, Hidatsa, Arikara Nation)
2021-2022: Joelle is leading digital language revitalization programs using apps and VR tools for Native language immersion.

Their leadership shows the power of representation and cultural preservation in modern society.

Share joy this holiday season! 🎄We're inviting staff, families, and community members to “Adopt a Resident” and make their Christmas extra special. Each resident will have a short wish list with their favorite treats, cozy items, or small gifts that bring them joy.

How It Works:
🎅 Pick a Resident — Choose a name tag or ornament from the “Adopt-a-Resident” Christmas tree in the lobby.
🛍️ Shop for Gifts — Use the wish list attached to guide your shopping (suggested value: $25–$40).
🎁 Return Wrapped Gifts — Bring your wrapped gifts with the resident’s name tag by December 15th.
💖 Watch the Joy Unfold! — Gifts will be delivered during our Christmas celebration week.

Want to participate but can’t shop? Donations or gift cards are also welcome — we’ll do the shopping for you! Let’s come together to make sure every resident feels loved and remembers this holiday season. ❤️
