✨ Breastmilk is magical ✨

This study had a small sample size, but did show that babies in the breast milk + zinc oxide group had faster diaper rash resolution than those using zinc oxide alone.

Next time baby has a raw bum 🍑 , give breastmilk a try with the zinc oxide!

Fun little afternoon of delivering some goodies to a few of our local pediatrician practices to say thanks for the collaboration! It’s so important to have open lines of interdisciplinary communication for our babies and their families and we are grateful to have some great local partnerships!

We love to share research! Here’s a new study with a few key takeaways:

📈 Improved breastfeeding experience can be protective against post-partum depression.

Getting help with breastfeeding theoretically should help improve that breastfeeding experience, as previous studies have shown.

I think we can also extrapolate the opposite notion here- having a less than ideal breastfeeding experience can contribute to INCREASED feelings of anxiety/depression. IBCLCs certainly can and want to help with that, too, but even moreso, we want to validate what you’re feeling and tell you you’re not alone. 🫂
