Local high school students have been participating in the volunteer visitor program that is made up of students who are paired with residents in our AL legacy community.
The goal of the program is to promote intergenerational socialization and companionship between our residents and younger members of the community while also increasing resident social engagement and sense of belonging. The students volunteer weekly and engage in individualized activities tailored to the residents specific interests/preferences.
