Exciting news for our Modena Allergy families: we’re thrilled to share that we’ve launched our first Early Allergen Introduction product, Bloom Bites, in two variations: Peanut and Walnut/Cashew. These products were developed by popular request from our patients, who have been searching for a convenient, pre-measured way to introduce popular allergens into their infants’ diets. As mentioned by our Solana Beach allergist, Dr. Ali Doroudchi, there is strong evidence that early allergen introduction beginning between 4-6 months of can help reduce the risk of developing lifelong food allergies. Bloom Bites are now available in all Modena Allergy locations 🥜✨if you have any questions about Bloom Bites or early allergen introduction, drop them here for our team!

Our new Solana Beach office is taking shape, and we can’t wait to welcome new and current Modena Allergy patients next month. Our newest San Diego office will feature expanded playrooms and hospitality features for OIT families, more exam rooms, plenty of free parking, and a convenient location right off the 5 interstate. If you’re interested in transferring your care to this office in the future, please reach out to the front desk at your local office and you’ll be notified when the schedule for September opens up. Rivalry on the rink, teamwork in the clinic 🤝🔥🏒 Our providers Dr. Doroudchi (La Jolla) and Dr. Tchekmedyian (Torrance/Long Beach) stepped out to cheer on their respective teams at yesterday’s matchup between the Montreal Canadiens and Anaheim Ducks. Fun fact: these two first met back in undergrad at UCLA (swipe for the throwback pic 🤓) and both joined MAA after completing their Allergy & Immunology fellowships last year.

Wondering what the teal pumpkins are all about this Halloween season? 👻✨

✨ Welcome Dr. Raffi Tchekmedyian to Modena Allergy + Asthma! ✨
We’re excited to introduce Dr. Tchekmedyian, a Huntington Beach native and an expert in allergy and immunology. After earning his medical degree at Case Western and completing his residency at Harvard Medical School’s Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Dr. Tchekmedyian honed his expertise at The University of Colorado and National Jewish Health in Denver. He’s now ready to offer his extensive knowledge in treating allergies, asthma, and immune system disorders to both adult and pediatric patients.
When he’s not in the office, you might find him exploring his new neighborhood at San Pedro Fish Market 🐟, hanging out with his nieces and nephews 👶, or working on home improvement projects and tackling DIY repairs 🔧. He also enjoys downtime with his dog Koolba and her best pal Luna 🐾.

Baseball and is our favorite kind of Wednesday ⚾️ Our Modena Allergy + Asthma La Jolla team spent the day yesterday team-building, cheering on the Padres and enjoying some of the best wings in San Diego.
