✨Employee of the Quarter – 3rd Quarter of 2025✨

Today, we have the honor of recognizing someone whose work and character truly represent the heart of AVRMC — Soledad Sigala, our Employee of the Quarter.

Soledad has dedicated 19 years of service to this hospital, and during that time, she has shown unwavering commitment, compassion, and pride in her role as a housekeeper. Her work goes far beyond keeping our facility clean — it helps create a safe, healing, and welcoming environment for every patient, visitor, and staff member who walks through our doors.
Her personal journey is one of remarkable strength and perseverance. After immigrating to the United States, she earned her GED and became a U.S. citizen. She is known for her dependability, positivity, and incredible work ethic — showing up each day with determination, even after facing personal hardships, including the day she was in a serious car accident.

During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, when fear was high and many were hesitant, Soledad volunteered to clean isolation rooms, saying simply, “I’m afraid too, but I pray to God to keep me safe.” That courage and faith exemplify the strength of her spirit.

Beyond the hospital, Soledad continues to serve — she is active in her church and community, always willing to lend a hand or lift someone’s spirits, often using humor to bring light to others’ toughest days.

Soledad, your heart for service, reliability, and quiet strength make you not only an exceptional employee but an inspiration to everyone who knows you. You embody the values and spirit of AVRMC.

⭐️Congratulations, and thank you for all you do.⭐️

On October 15, we had the honor of hosting our VIP Rural Health Event right here at AVRMC—bringing together local leaders, elected officials, and healthcare professionals to discuss the future of rural healthcare in our region.

As the only hospital within 60 miles, AVRMC plays a vital role in keeping our community healthy and strong. We asked everyone in the room to advocate and collaborate—because together, we can ensure that rural hospitals like ours not only survive but thrive for years to come.

A heartfelt thank you to all our dignitaries and attendees who joined us for this important conversation.

Special appreciation goes to:
-Betty Velasquez, AVRMC Board Member and Community Leader for the wonderful welcome and introduction
-Tim Muth, Valley Community Church for the beautiful invocation
-Jeff Tiemen, Colorado Hospital Association for his inspiring call to action

Let’s keep the conversation going—advocate for your local hospitals and the dedicated healthcare teams who serve rural Colorado every day.
