As we wrap up Women’s Heart Health Week, we want to highlight something that still surprises far too many people:

💔 Heart disease is the leading cause of death for women.

Symptoms don’t always look the same as they do in men, which is why education, awareness, and early action matter so much.

From recognizing warning signs to knowing how to perform CPR and use an AED, preparedness saves lives… at home, at work, and in our communities.

This week (and every week), we encourage women to:
• Listen to their bodies
• Advocate for their health
• Learn lifesaving skills
• Support one another

Because being informed is powerful, and being prepared can make all the difference. ❤️

🌴4 Years of Coastal Medix and 44 Years of Legacy ⛑️

Today marks 4 years since I officially became the owner of what began as First Aid Services back in 1981, now proudly known as Coastal Medix.

It’s wild to look back at how far we’ve come.
What started as a small local event-medical team has grown into a state-approved CE provider, AHA training center, and a trusted partner for some of San Diego’s biggest events. We’ve expanded our training programs, increased staffing, and raised the level of care we bring to every venue, patient, and student.

Through every challenge and milestone, our incredible team and leadership have pushed the standard higher, proving that event medicine can be professional, compassionate, and truly next-level.

To everyone who’s been part of this journey… from the founder who built the foundation, to the current team driving our future, thank you! You’ve made this company what it is today: strong, resilient, and relentlessly dedicated to safety and service.

Here’s to the past that built us, the present that drives us, and the future we’re creating together.

From hunter jumper rings to all-breed competitions, Coastal Medix is proud to provide trusted medical coverage at horse shows across San Diego.

Our EMTs aren’t just skilled in emergency care, they also understand the unique environment of equestrian events. From knowing how to move safely around horses to anticipating the unexpected, our team brings the right blend of medical expertise and equine awareness.
