If you’re heading out the door to a New Year’s Eve celebration, take a moment to pause.

The holidays can be challenging, and New Year’s may be the most of all. It’s tempting to compare your achievements with others, get down on yourself about where you thought you’d be, or set unforgiving expectations for the year ahead.

Resist the urge. Breathe. Trust that you’ve done enough and you are enough. 🤍🥂

The week between Christmas and New Year’s can be a blur of plans and parties. But all around us, nature is slowing down and resting. We try to hold ourselves to the same high standards all year round, but that’s not in our natures - it’s in our culture.

If you’re finding yourself slowing down, turning inward, and seeking rest, that’s okay. Give yourself permission to do less, even (or especially!) when the world is pushing you to do more and more.
