Meet Your Instructor Monday!

Meet Karen Reisdorf! Karen teaches Yin and Sound Healing Tuesday evenings at 6 pm. Karen brings joy to Zentral Station and shares that joy with her students.

What is your favorite pose and why?

Downward Facing Dog. It makes me feel elongated , and I love the flow of energy to my head and heart. This pose always feels like coming home.

What is your favorite type of class and why?

I enjoy all types of yoga, so they are all my favorites. Each style holds a necessary purpose and serves me depending on what I need in a specific time and place in my life.

What inspired you to become a yoga teacher?

Yoga came into my life at 18 . It was creative, mystical, supportive, and intriguing. As a college student, attending art school, and raising a son on my own while working as a waitress in a pizzeria (a job I wasn't particularly good at,) I decided I wanted to be a Yoga Teacher. n This profession not only supported me emotionally and kept me focused, but also allowed me to be very present for my son.

Witnessing other's delve deeper into themselves, bloom into their best versions, continuously grow and expand, has filled me with immense love and gratitude. Being present and holding space for them has truly been my greatest gift.
