We believe that a meticulous assessment is the best way to prescribe effective treatment. The most powerful way to provide physical therapy services is with one-on-one attention and consistent follow up with your primary clinician. At Peterson PT we feel that pain serves as a warning sign that something isn't working quite right. It's important to pay attention to those signs and get to the bottom of what's causing them before too much damage is done. Something that seems as simple as an ankle sprain can really be indicative of a larger problem especially when you start to sprain your ankle repeatedly. The sprains and subsequent pain you feel are symptoms of a larger problem. Rest, modalities, and ice are important but if you don't investigate further up the chain you are missing the most important information. At Peterson PT we will address not just "what" hurts but "why" it's hurting in the first place and how to prevent it from happening again. Services include specialty in orthopedic manual therapy, trigger point dry needling (TDN), therapeutic and corrective exercise prescription as well as thorough education on preventative and self management techniques.
