Convenient Care Frequently Asked Questions

What is Convenient Care?
-Convenient Care is a walk-in clinic that you can visit for a non-life-threatening medical condition

Will I see a Doctor when I come to Convenient Care?
-Patients will receive treatment from a highly trained Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant that is directly supervised by a qualified physician (MD)

What can a Convenient Care treat? Convenient care clinics can treat common, non-life-threatening medical conditions such as:
-Cold and Flu
-Sinus Infection
-Allergies
-Minor injuries, burns and rashes
-Pinkeye
-Sore Throat
-Headaches
-Sprains and Strains
-Bronchitis
-Ear Infections & Pain
-Urinary Tract Infections
-Laceration Repairs
-Sports Physicals
-Abscess

What clinical services will Convenient Care offer?
-Strep A
-Flu Shots & Flu Testing
-RSV
-Covid- 19 Testing for Symptomatic patients only. We do not offer rapid testing at this time.
-Urinalysis
-Basic X-RAY
-Pregnancy Testing

Do you accept Walk-in’s or can I make an appointment?
-Walk-in’s are welcomed, but an appointment is encouraged for a shorter wait time.
-Please call 830-393-1400 during business hours to schedule an appointment
-Due to our walk-in volume, we prefer you check in before 7:30 pm

What insurances does convenient care accept?
-We accept almost all PPO insurances
-For all HMO insurance, patients must have a Connally Memorial assigned Primary Care Provider (P*P)
-We accept self-pay patients and offer services at a discounted rate
-If patient has an HMO and does not have a Connally Memorial P*P, we will offer cash options for services rendered

COVID-19 precautions:
-Face masks are required while in the office
-Screen questions are asked to each patient when they arrive
-Temperature checks on patient and visitors
-Social Distancing
-Limiting the number of visitors allowed in the office

We are open Monday through Friday from 8 to 8 and Saturdays from 8 to 5.
Walk in for evaluation, testing, and treatment for cold and flu symptoms, as well as many other minor illnesses and injuries.
