The Marissa and Keegan Watson foundation for life will be partnering with a local counseling and advocacy group and will be represented in the parade in Henry on the Fourth of July. In addition to candy for the kids, We will be handing out materials about mental health and su***de prevention and awareness. Please use these materials to have those difficult conversations and check in on your loved ones. People don’t pretend to be depressed. They pretend to be OK.

Additionally, we are in the planning stages of a walk/run to benefit the foundation to be held possibly this fall or next spring. We are seeking outreach opportunities in schools and are in the planning stages of sponsoring a scholarship for a student going into the mental healthcare field.

Coming soon will be a button on the webpage for donations. Please consider supporting our nonprofit so that we can educate others and prevent other families and communities From suffering the loss of loved ones by su***de. Donations are greatly appreciated, but if you can’t donate, please share our posts to spread the word about this very worthy cause.

The colors for Arie color run started as a way to raise awareness, promote mental health education, and support those affected by su***de. This event isn’t just about running, it’s about coming together as a community to show solidarity, and break the stigma surrounding mental health. The event is Saturday june 1st. All proceeds will go to the arukah institute of healing. Please spread the word! If you have any questions or would want to volunteer to help, reach out to us or the colors for arie page.
