No, the kits aren’t usually this big—but the impact is.🤪
In the last two years, 634 prevention kits have been distributed and 231 community members trained in naloxone use across our region. Prevention saves lives and it starts with access to resources, education, and community support.

Health outcomes in the United States are not evenly distributed. Differences in life expectancy, chronic disease, and access to care vary across communities—and they didn’t appear overnight.

This explainer looks at how historical context, public policy, and the development of healthcare systems have shaped health outcomes over time. By examining where we’ve been, we can better understand current patterns and consider how health systems can be designed to work more effectively for everyone.

This video is intended for general audiences and draws on peer-reviewed research, policy analysis, and historical sources to provide context—not commentary—on how health outcomes evolve.

Misinformation on homelessness is prevalent.

In Belknap County homelessness is a systemic issue - not a personal failure. Rising housing costs, fixed incomes, and health challenges mean our elderly neighbors are often the most affected, with many struggles happening behind closed doors.

Awareness matters and so does connecting people to the resources and community support that can make stability possible.
