Eight couples. One Valentine’s Day. Dozens of years represented in a single room.

Our annual vow renewal tradition returned, and one by one, Watercrest couples stood together to say “I do” all over again, this time with a lifetime of memories behind those words! Pastor Joe Maher led the ceremony as families traveled in to witness the moment, bringing quiet anticipation and very proud smiles. ❤️💍

The celebration continued as Dennis D’Satchmo Keating hosted the reception, giving everyone time to linger and congratulate the commitment that brought them back to the altar once more. A huge thank you goes to Dennis too for hosting the reception!

Jennifer needs to go buy a lottery ticket! Our Resident Wellness Director is on a serious lucky streak... she found the baby in the King Cake, officially crowning her this year’s Mardi Gras royalty! 👑🎫

The celebration kept rolling with the Paul DeRitter Band setting the tone, plates of jambalaya making their way around the room, Hurricanes in hand, and jazz filling every corner. For an afternoon, it felt like we’d taken a quick trip straight to New Orleans!

The sweetest Valentine's Day stop! 🍪🩷

We took our Memory Care residents to the Red Rooster Cookie Jar here in Lady Lake, and the staff were just wonderful. They helped everyone pick out their favorite scratch-made treat and made us feel so welcome. Thanks, Red Rooster!

We traveled back in time to the Roaring Twenties, featuring our very own Watercrest Speakeasy! 🥂♠️

The atmosphere was absolutely electric thanks to www.paulderitter.com and his band, who set the perfect jazzy mood for us. We have to give a huge thank you to Place Your Bet Casino Events for bringing the casino magic.

Our residents tried their luck at the roulette and blackjack tables with professional dealers. We also feasted on classic lounge bites like shrimp cocktails and cucumber sandwiches, all while sipping on martinis and champagne. It was the bee's knees! 🃏❤️

Sam nailed it on January 10, 2026, at Hole #9 (142 yards) and was proudly presented with a Hole in One certificate from The Villages Community Development Districts, Executive Golf Division.

We are revving up the excitement at Watercrest! Our residents took a trip to the Don Garlits Museum of Drag Racing Inc. in Ocala for a day of speed and history.

It was fascinating to explore the origins of the sport and get an up-close look at those incredible classic race cars, the perfect outing for anyone who appreciates a little horsepower. 🏎️🏁

Our men's club, "Retired Old Men Eating Out," kicked off 2026 with their first outing of the year, and they knew exactly where they wanted to go. The group voted to check out the all-new Ho***rs in the Brownwood area, where they enjoyed some classic wings and cold drinks.

It turns out they were a huge hit with the staff, too. Looks like it is going to be a fun year for this crew at Watercrest Spanish Springs! 😎

2026 is off to a beautiful start in our Memory Care neighborhood! The recent renovations have opened up so much room for recreation and creativity.

Our residents are loving the extra counter space, especially during our Aprons & Appetizers program. It is great to have plenty of room for chopping and rinsing fresh veggies together! Some residents even added their own personal touch by helping decorate the new shelves.
