Praise God I’m not where I once was but I’m also not yet where I am meant to be! In this journey of Freedom I have found peace, I have managed to forgive and I have found hope.
Many friends and even family turned their backs on me when I needed them most. Some people were embarrassed of my situation and that I needed outside assistance. Only a few stuck around. Abuse is real and it happens to people you know...pray for them, love them and help them! God turns ALL things around for my good and to bring Him glory!
Physical abuse is obvious and can be seen but mental and emotional abuse are the scariest forms and equally detrimental! Often times It feels like I’m describing a bad movie when I tell people about my past and share my testimony, but the memories and details are still very real and vivid. Thank you Lord for your grace and mercy on my life and my son’s. Thank you for loving me and guiding me through. Thank you for showing me real love and providing me with my amazing husband, who reminds me everyday of how much We are loved and how much he loves and provides for us!
