In honor of miscarriage

Today, we mark another day,
In silence, where soft hopes once lay.
A tiny spark, a whispered start,
Now etched forever in our hearts.

No lullabies, no midnight cries,
Just shattered dreams and endless whys.
The world moves on, but here we stay,
In love with one who slipped away.

No footprints left upon the floor,
No little clothes behind a door.
But in our soul, a space remains
A name unspoken, bound by pain.

You grew beneath our beating hearts,
A sacred place, your only start.
Though we were robbed of all your days,
Our love for you will never fade.

Some will say you were too small, I just say to perfect.

So on this sixth October day,
We light a flame, we pray.
For all the little ones we miss—
Gone in a breath, sealed with a kiss.
