Why isn’t PrEP as normal as birth control? It should be.
Birth control is widely accepted because it helps people plan their future. PrEP works the same way—it’s proactive, empowering prevention.
Taking PrEP isn’t about fear or judgment. It’s about protecting yourself while living life on your terms, especially when plans or partners change.
You deserve that control and peace of mind. Be prepared.

We need to talk about stopping BEFORE we start…
Injectable PrEP doesn’t leave your body right away—it slowly fades over months (even up to a year). During that time, low drug levels may not fully protect against HIV and can increase the risk of resistance if exposure occurs.
This doesn’t mean it’s unsafe—it means how you stop matters.
A safe plan (often including temporary oral PrEP) helps keep you protected.
The goal isn’t fear. It’s prevention. ✅

In this video, we break down how efficient and streamlined PrEP follow-up visits can be when everything is going well. Dr. Landry’s approach focuses on quick, meaningful check-ins—reviewing labs, confirming medication access, and making sure you’re feeling good—often in under 90 seconds. With routine labs every three months and less frequent visits once you’re stable, there’s no need for unnecessary appointments. Plus, you can always reach out directly with questions. PrEP care should fit your life—not slow it down. *xualhealth

In this video, we explore how PrEP fits into monogamous, long-term, and open relationships, and why it’s an important layer of protection even when trust is strong. Many people are surprised to learn that HIV transmission can still occur within committed relationships, which is why proactive care matters. Taking PrEP isn’t about mistrust—it’s about self-respect, empowerment, and peace of mind. Your health is yours to protect, and that confidence is always worth it. *xualhealth

Does having s*x with someone who has HIV automatically mean you’ll get HIV?
No — it does not automatically mean infection.
In this video, we break down what actually affects HIV risk, why transmission isn’t guaranteed from a single encounter, and how tools like PrEP, PEP, condoms, and testing dramatically reduce your risk.
The goal isn’t to rely on odds — it’s to protect yourself with the right prevention plan.
If you’re worried about a recent exposure or want to lower your risk going forward, text us at 337-988-9737 to talk with Doctor Landry today.

Pills or shots — which PrEP option is better? The truth: it depends on you.
When taken daily, oral PrEP is extremely effective. Injectable PrEP is also highly effective — and removes the need to remember a pill every day.
The real difference often comes down to lifestyle and consistency.
✔️ Good with daily routines? Oral PrEP may work great.
✔️ Prefer something long-acting without daily dosing? Injections might be a better fit.
The best option isn’t the newest — it’s the one you’re most likely to stick with.
Want help deciding? Text us at 337-988-9737 to talk with Dr. Landry about your options.
