Happy International Women’s Day! Today, the SURF Center celebrates Ellie Luhman and Joan Nickerson!

In May of 1993 they discussed starting a club for the use of people in 12 Step Programs. Their vision was the start of the SURF Club, which over the years evolved into the SURF Center of today. We believe they would be pleased and amazed at where we are today

While our look has changed our commitment to the recovery community in the greater Lafayette area remains the same.

The SURF Center supports a strong recovery community where individuals are accepted for who they are and supported on their journey. From the newcomer searching for help for the first time, to those with decades of sobriety, we believe that fellowship, daily recovery meetings, education, referrals, and sober social events make for a strong recovery journey
