✨Clinician Spotlight!✨

Hey there! 👋🏼

My name is Emily Rosamond,
and I am from 🏡New Iberia, LA!

Some of my favorite things include visiting with family and friends 👥, watching t.v. 📺, finding ways to be creative, learning new things 📝🧠, and COFFEE ☕️

My ❤️favorite thing about the field of speech therapy is being able to get to know people who have different backgrounds and interests. I love being able to hear each person's interests and stories! 🗣

Thank you for allowing me to hear what you have to say and for allowing me to be a part of this group!🙏🏻

✨Clinician Spotlight Time! ✨

Hi everyone! 👋🏻

My name is Maria Mengis.
🏠I’m from Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Some of my favorite things to do are hiking🥾, traveling✈️, reading 📖, and watching soccer games 👀⚽️.

My favorite part about speech therapy 💬 is building relationships with my clients 👥and helping them achieve their goals ✅. I especially love the welcoming environment of our aphasia groups!

A fun fact about me is that I have swum 🏊‍♀️to Brazil🇧🇷…that story’s way too long for one post!

Thank you for letting me be a part of this amazing group :)

✨Clinician Spotlight time! ✨

Hello, My name is McKenzi Bienvenue! 👋

I am from sweet ole' Lafayette, Louisiana 🌾 🌞

My hobbies include spending time with my family and friends 👫 , coaching competitive swimming 🏊‍♀️ , fishing 🐟 , and pretty much anything that involves drinking coffee ☕ !

One of my gifts is being able to connect and form long lasting deep connections with anyone and everyone ! I enjoy meeting new friends 🤩 !

My favorite part about this field is seeing the sparkle ✨ in someone’s eyes when they accomplish, what they once thought they couldn’t. I love getting to know and support my clients as we work towards what is meaningful to them 💪 ! I’m forever grateful for the time I get to spend each client 💗 !

Do you experience this? 👇🏻

It is actually more common than you probably think!

😢 Do you cry easily?

🧑🏻‍⚕️ You may want to talk to a healthcare professional about PBA.

⚕️ Pseudobulbar affect (PBA) is a medical condition. It causes episodes of crying of laughing that may be unpredictable. Sometimes it is called emotional lability.

🧠 It is caused by damage to an area of the brain. Many stroke survivors have PBA.
