Kayla has been with Southern OBGYN since May 2023 as our Schedule Coordinator, and she brings dedication, positivity, and a family-like spirit to our team every day.

Kayla loves seeing patients find out they’re expecting, enjoys the variety in her work, and is always eager to learn something new. Outside of work, she enjoys time with her husband and daughter, Caroline, relaxing at the beach or on the water, and sharing dinner and drinks with friends.

Dr. Grant Blanchard joined our practice in September 2024. Originally from Prairieville, LA, Dr. Blanchard relocated to Lafayette with her husband, whom she married earlier this year, Josh and their dog, Frankie.

Dr. Blanchard graduated from St. Amant High School in 2012. She graduated Summa cm laude from LSU with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology and a minor in psychology in 2016. She then attended LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans where she earned her doctorate degree of medicine in 2016. During medical school, she was selected by her peers to be a member of the Gold Humanism Society.
Since that time, she has been completing her residency training in OBGYN at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC. During her time, she has served as the Academic Administrative Chief resident.

She has a passion for practicing evidence-based medicine and providing equitable care to all.

We are so thankful that she is a part of our Southern family!
